::Den Makeover::

This is a sponsored post. See end of post for full disclosure.

Well folks, I finally have a working den/sewing/cra{p}ft room.

It's right as you come in our front door, so I'm hoping it'll stay neat and tidy.

If not, it's the perfect opportunity for hubs to build me a sliding barn door, amiright?

I started with the beautiful rug from the folks at Well Woven. I wrote about it in my last post, but will refresh your memory here.  IT IS AWESOME.

I received the Sarouk Light Blue Traditional rug for it's moody blue with browns and creams.

It's thick and soft and oh-so-beautiful! A great base to build the room around!

We used Weaber Lumber Wallboards and painted them white, just like in the guest room makeover.  LOVE!

Hubs hung an old primitive repro shelf of my mama's, and I just used what I had on hand to style it up.

Because I also hope to use this room as a reading room, I love stacking my inspo books right next to the chair.

I bought the light fixture at a second-hand shop...had been a floor sample from a local store that went out of business.  It's actually metal, and had been a hunter green with mustard stripe. I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White and Old Ocher with dark wax to lighten it up.

This side of the room is where my sewing supplies and table sit.  Out of site of visitors peeking in on their way to the kitchen. Love my IKEA gateleg table that opens up to 5 ft, and has six deep drawers to store sewing notions, patterns, etc.

Years ago a paired an old hutch top with a dresser my grandfather made...it stores my fabric and all my crafting supplies.  I love seeing the folded fabric in the windows!

I'm hoping this space will be easy to maintain when I'm not on a crafting frenzy.

But I'm not making promises.

Many thanks to the brilliant folks at Well Woven and Weaber Lumber for supplying me with the building blocks of my new den/crafting space!
